APMEDUCON 2026

General guidelines

• The paper presentation is open to studies pertaining to medical education for undergraduate students, postgraduate students, faculty members, and researchers in medical and allied health sciences.
• Each participant may present only one paper as the first author, with a maximum of three co-authors permitted.
• Abstracts must be submitted online (Google form link common for both oral and poster presentation on website) on or before 10th June 2026. Abstracts should have a maximum limit of 2500 characters set in the Google form (around 300- 350 words), excluding title and author details, and submitted in a structured format under the headings:
  1. Background/ Rationale/ Problem statement
  2. Objectives
  3. Methods
  4. Results, and
  5. Conclusion.
     For innovation or curriculum abstracts, equivalent structured headings (such as Context, Intervention, Outcomes, and Lessons Learned) may be used.
• All submitted abstracts must be original work. Any form of plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
• Acceptance of abstracts will be communicated to the authors via email by the organizing committee by 30th June 2026.

Abstracts are invited under five core themes:

• Innovation: Novel teaching-learning approaches, curriculum innovation, and design driven educational experimentation. Includes scalable, low-cost solutions, pilot initiatives, and “out-of-the-box” ideas in medical education.
• Curriculum & Assessment: Competency-based curricula, integrated program design, and outcome-driven training. Includes EPAs, milestones, assessment methods, feedback, and program evaluation.
• Teaching & Faculty development: Effective teaching-learning strategies, learner engagement, and faculty growth. Includes mentoring, educational leadership, and scholarship of teaching.
• Technology & Simulation: Use of AI, digital tools, and simulation to enhance learning and clinical readiness. Includes analytics, virtual platforms, and technology-enabled skill training.
• Learner experience & Educational environment: Student well-being, learning culture, and the human experience of medical training. Includes mentoring, teamwork, communication, and interprofessional learning.

Papers will be evaluated based on Originality, Scientific Rigor, Clarity, Relevance to medical education, and Engagement during the Q&A session.

For oral presentation

• Each presenter will be allotted 7 minutes for presentation followed by 2 minutes for a question-and-answer session.
• Presentations must be in PowerPoint format, delivered in English, and the presenter must be physically present at the venue.
• PowerPoint format/ guidelines: (Template will be provided)
  • Font: Sans serif fonts: Arial etc.
  • Font Size: Title ≥ 32 pt
  • Body ≥ 24 pt
  • Background: White / light grey (Avoid: Dark, neon, gradient, textured backgrounds)
• Presentations will be evaluated based on originality, scientific rigor, clarity, relevance to medical education, and engagement during the Q & A session.
• All participants must be registered for the conference, adhere to ethical guidelines, and accept the final decision of the scientific committee.

For E-poster presentation

• Each poster presenter will be allotted 5 minutes for poster presentation followed by 2 minutes for a question-and-answer session with judges and participants.
• Posters must be prepared in English, and the presenting author must be physically present at the venue during the designated poster session.
• Posters should clearly display the title, authors, institutional affiliations, and main content in a structured scientific format.

E-Poster Format / Guidelines

• File Format: PowerPoint, single-slide format
• Orientation: Portrait or landscape as instructed by the conference secretariat
• Slide Size: Standard widescreen (16:9)
• Logo: Top left corner should have the APMEA logo (template will be provided)
• Sections: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusion, References
• Font: Arial / Times New Roman / Calibri / Helvetica
• Font Size:
  o Title: 28 pt
  o Headings: 20 pt
  o Body: 16 pt
• Background: White / light grey / plain professional theme (Avoid dark, neon, gradient, or distracting backgrounds)
• Visuals: Use charts & infographics (graphs, tables, images) over text (concise text for readability on screen).
• File Name: PresentingAuthorName_ConferenceregistrationID-last 3 digits (eg.: Stephen_042)
• E-posters will be evaluated based on originality, scientific rigor, visual design, clarity, relevance to medical education, and discussion during the Q & A session.
• All participants must be registered for the conference, adhere to ethical guidelines, and accept the final decision of the scientific committee.
